Most wooden bindings that are used to strengthen and decorate the edges of a guitar body need to be pre-bent before they are installed on the guitar. They are usually pre-bent at the same time as the sides of the guitar body are bent using a heating/moulding device (e.g., bending iron or a heated side bending machine). After the wooden bindings are bent, they need to be stored away until the guitar body is at the stage of having the bindings installed. The Binding Holder Jig provides a safe way of holding it in the shape of the guitar. Pegs are provided to allow for wrapping with rubber bands if needed.
This jig is for the OM guitar size.
It complements the OM acrylic template.

Our Binding Jig Holders are made from four layers of 12mm MDF to accommodate commonly used binding widths.
The holders include protruding dowels to make it easier to work with rubber bands (as pictured) or binding string material.
