Welcome To Siragusa Guitars
In the 80’s, Lou Siragusa completed a four year Industrial Arts degree at W.A.I.T. (now Curtin University) where he developed his designing and workshop skills. It was during this time where his interest for stringed instrument building was ignited after meeting Perth’s renowned and much respected luthier, Scott Wise, in his Fremantle studio. Since those meetings and during his time teaching woodwork, Lou explored the processes and nuances of building wooden stringed instruments, particularly steel string acoustic guitars. Later, while working as a learning technologies academic, time was also devoted towards research and experimentation to develop his own construction methods utilising a combination of traditional hand-tool and modern machining technologies. This experience has now become part of the quality building process at Siragusa Guitars.
